Korean (Isolate (?))

Martin (1992) makes reference to a few forms that he calls 'defective verbs'. Though etymologically verbs, they appear synchronically to be frozen forms. Among them are the quotative kalotoy ...' as he says...' and kalasitay ... 'as he deigns to say...' (p. 379), and tepulta, which occurs in the gerund and infinitive forms only, with the meaning 'entails' and 'together with' (p. 806).
