Language overview

Dobu is spoken in the Milne Bay Province of Papua New Guinea. It is widely spoken as a trade language in the D'entrecasteaux Islands. According to Ethnologue there were 10,000 native speakers of Dobu in 1998, with about 100,000 second language speakers in 1987.
